Winter weather can make the conditions on the road more dangerous and unpredictable. It’s critical to adjust your driving and trip planning to match road conditions. Your safety comes first—no delivery is worth risking an accident.
Please keep the following reminders in mind while driving in winter conditions:
Increase following distance to maintain a safe buffer and escape route.
Watch for black ice, especially on bridges, ramps, shaded areas, and early mornings/nights.
Slow down and drive defensively—sudden braking or sharp turns increase the risk of losing control.
Shut down or pull over when needed if conditions feel unsafe or you are tired.
Communicate delays or route changes so we can reset expectations with the client as needed.
When temperatures drop below 30°F, you must use Anti-Gel Additive to prevent fuel from gelling.
You must either:
Add the Anti-Gel at pickup (if the truck already has fuel), OR
Add the Anti-gel when refueling.
Important:
Make sure you carefully follow the instructions on the Anti-Gel bottle for proper dosage.
Preferred Products:
Power Service Anti-Gel (white bottle) – regular, preventative use
Power Service Diesel 911 (red bottle) – emergency use ONLY if fuel has already gelled.
⚠️ Do NOT use Diesel 911 as a preventative anti-gel.
☑️ Check weather and road conditions before departure.
☑️ Carry anti-gel and basic winter supplies.
☑️ Top off fuel before entering remote areas
If conditions are unsafe, shut down and contact dispatch. We will always support safety-first decisions.
If you have any questions about any of the information above, please reach out.
We appreciate all of your hard work. Stay safe out there!
